Stop the excuses. It's time to say "yes" to an adventure in Italy

I know, I know, you are going to have hundreds of excuses for why it’s not the right time or you don’t have money for traveling and, in some cases, this is absolutely true.

But in most cases, it’s not.

Let’s break this down a bit.

Guess what? You have money and time for the things that are most important in your life. If you are wise with your money and time, you can curate a life that has some important memories.

How do I know?

I know it because I have lived that kind of life.

My love of travel began when I was 17, when I saved all the money I earned my junior year to spend a summer in Spain. I worked while going to school full time and playing sports.

When my friends were eating out, I packed my own lunch. I chose to shop at Value Village over Nordstroms.

Was it easy? No.

Was it worth it? Yes!

Fast forward to 2009. I was going through a divorce but wanted to take a trip to Italy. I had three young kids at that time and no financial support other than my art income, which was minimal. Still, I made a plan to take a group to Italy in 2010 and we did it! I worked really hard to make it work. I had to sacrifice a lot to get there.

But that trip changed my life.

I challenge you to get real with yourself and stop saying, “Someday I’ll…”

Start saying, “I will ...” and then make a plan of action to do it! Now is the time to do the things you’ve always wanted and it is not impossible to get there.

You don’t want to be on your deathbed wishing you’d done something different.

Make your “someday” this year.

If you want to join me in Italy this spring/summer, I have a few spots left. You won’t regret it!
